Varieties of the procedure

The following types of hair removal are popular today:

  1. Electrolysis method.
  2. By means of ultrasound.
  3. Light techniques. These include photoepilation and laser hair removal.

They are all safe and painless. Two more important advantages are two factors: the procedures are short-lived, the exclusion of any allergic reactions after exposure.

Electrolysis

It consists in the effect on the hair follicles of electric current. The procedure is carried out only in specialized salons no more than once every 30 days, the effect of the current should not exceed 10 minutes.

To achieve the desired result, you need to do the procedure several times (depending on the amount of hair). Local anesthesia is used for the client’s comfort. This method is worth choosing if there is a need to get rid of rare hair.

Ultrasound

A radical way, with the help of modern equipment, you can get rid of any amount of hair. The first step is to remove hairs using the depilation method (using wax). After that, the sites of laser action are lubricated with a special gel, which penetrates into the deep layers of the skin and has a destructive effect on the germ cells (prevents the division process).

First of all, the hair that is in the stage of active growth disappears. A noticeable result is noted after a year. But it is worth noting that there is a contraindication – individual intolerance. It is also not recommended to carry out treatment in the bikini area.

Photoepiration

This procedure is carried out using modern devices with a light source. Based on the absorption of light energy by melanin (hair pigment). Heat destroys the hair follicle itself.

Photoepilation is a universal method. It is indicated for the removal of hair of any color and any structure for people with any type of skin. Only very light and gray hair are not affected. To achieve the effect for many years, you need to go through 3 to 6 sessions. The result is noticeable after the first procedure.

Laser hair removal

The laser instantly destroys the hair follicle. However, the method is only suitable for dark hair removal and is not effective on dark skin. It takes several sessions to completely disappear hair. After the procedure, some redness persists, which soon disappears without additional treatment.

Contraindications

Cosmetologists advise using different methods of hair removal for different areas of the body. It should be remembered that after epilation it is contraindicated to sunbathe for 2 weeks. Then be sure to use sunscreen.

There are contraindications that should not be neglected:

  • chronic diseases in the acute stage;
  • decompensated diabetes mellitus;
  • varicose veins;
  • hypertension;
  • ischemia of the heart;
  • herpes and other infectious diseases;
  • tumor formations.

Particular care should be taken during pregnancy and the presence of mental illness. Before the first session, a consultation with a dermatologist is required.
